The entrance will be at 19th and Larimer Street.
There are several public parking lots within walking distance of Sakura Square, including the 1900 Lawrence Building Garage. If you plan on driving to the event, please designate a driver.

GENERAL EVENT INFO
General admission is free and walk-ins are welcome. However, if capacity limits are reached, entry will be prioritized for VIP ticket holders, special ticket holders, followed by advance-registered general admission guests. Advance registration is strongly recommended.
Enjoy a laid-back celebration of Japan with delicious food, unique drinks, live performances, and cultural experiences suitable for all ages.
Spirit of Japan San Diego is produced by SP-RING USA.
TICKETS + ENTRY
General admission is free and no ticket is required unless purchasing VIP or special tickets. Advance registration helps ensure priority entry.
All ticket sales are final unless the event is cancelled by the organizer. If the event is postponed or materially changed, applicable options will be communicated.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required for alcohol sales and tastings.
Food items require 1–5 food tickets per item. After your tickets are used, cash and credit cards are accepted.
Unlimited sake/spirits tasting is available only to VIP ticket holders.
Premium sake and beer are available for separate purchase.The Special Ticket includes 10 food tickets, 2 drinks (cocktail or soft drink), and an original tote bag.
EVENT POLICIES + GUIDELINES
Safety is our top priority. All bags will be checked and we highly encourage clear bags to ensure a smooth + seamless entry process. All bags should be 15”x12”x6” or smaller.
No liquids of any kind, no weapons of any kind, alcohol, illegal drugs (including marijuana), and glass bottles/metal cans. Water will be available for purchase at the event.
All ages are welcome, must be 21+ to purchase alcohol. This event celebrates Japanese spirits, so please use your best judgement in bringing minors.
No outside liquids will be allowed into the event. Water will be available for purchase throughout the festival.
We love our furry friends, but for the safety of your pets + our attendees, pets should be left at home and are not allowed within the event footprint. Service animals are permitted - please tend to them and clean up after them.
Yes. Lost & Found is handled at the information booth during the event.
If you lose an item, please visit the information booth or ask a staff member for assistance.Re-entry into the event is not permitted.
Spirit of Japan is a “rain or shine” event. No refunds will be given.
